However, he said that this symptom of Covid-19 is helping in the prevention of epidemics in a way as it is making the identification of the infected relatively early. The doctor, who has seen more than 4,000 patients of Covid-19, said, “Due to increased awareness, people with this symptom are coming forward and getting themselves tested for Covid-19.”
Dosi reported that it has been observed that the chronic ability to smell and taste gradually returns within three weeks in people who recover after treatment with the epidemic. “I have not yet found a single case in which someone overcrowded with Covid-19 has said that his smell and taste ability are gone forever,” he said.
