A brilliant goal from Yori Tillemens (10th minute) and Dryse Mertens (24th minute) led to a 2–0 loss to England in Nations League football, as Belgium edged out of the finals. Martens is the first Belgian player to score a goal on a free kick in the last five years. He was preceded in 2015 by Kevin De Bruyne against Israel.
