The fire department gave information about this incident by tweeting. It was told that 21 of the injured have been admitted to various hospitals, all of them are laborers engaged in construction work. It said that the condition of at least nine people is critical and the condition of one is very serious.
During construction work, personnel trapped on the scaffold were rescued through windows. The fire department said in tweet that after investigation, it was found that the blast took place on the 16th floor of the building where the offices of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company are located.
