A two-day special session on Covid-19 will be held at the United Nations General Assembly

The number of corona infects in the world crossed 6.43 crore on Wednesday, while the number of dead exceeded 14.89 lakh. Meanwhile, a two-day special session on Covid-19 will be held on 3 and 4 December at the United Nations General Assembly.

In this session, leaders from around the world, top UN members and officials of vaccine companies will discuss the impact of the epidemic and the issues needed to deal with the crisis.

According to the report, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani, French President Emmanuel Macron, Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, New Zealand Prime Minister Jesinda Ardern, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel will also address the session. Health Minister Alex Ager will address this meeting on behalf of the US. A total of 141 people will address it according to the list of speakers.

The recorded address of Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla will run in the session on 4 December. Biotech co-founders Yugur Sahin and Ojel Tursi will also address Sarah Gilbert, the head of the team developing the vaccine at Oxford University, and Seth Berkeley, chief executive officer of GAVI (Vaccine Alliance).
