An American newspaper has filed a lawsuit against Google and Facebook under the anti-trust law for monopolizing online advertisements. The federal and provincial governments of America have filed cases against Facebook and Google.
US company HD Media claimed in the lawsuit that Facebook and Google monopolized almost half of advertising in the digital advertising space. They pose a threat to local media companies across America. HD Media has several newspapers in Virginia, such as Gazette Mail and Herald. However, how much damage has been caused to HD media from Facebook and Google, it has not been stated in the claim.
Let us know that in December 2020, the US federal government and many other states have also filed a case against Google and Facebook under the anti-trust law. The US government alleges that these two well-known companies of the world have monopolized the matter of online search and advertising.
