American aircraft manufacturer Boeing has now got permission to offer its F-15EX fighter aircraft to the Indian Air Force. A senior official said on Thursday that the US government has issued a marketing license to the company in this regard.

Let me tell you that the Indian Air Force is planning to buy 114 multi-purpose aircraft in place of its Soviet aircraft. Now Boeing of America has joined this race along with Gripen of Sweden and Rafale of France.


Ankur Kanaglekhar, director of India Fighters Lead in Boeing Defense, Space and Security, said that there has been a discussion between the two countries in the past about the F-15EX aircraft. Now that we have a marketing license, we can talk directly to the Indian Air Force.

He said, ‘Now we have a marketing license. This license allows us to speak directly to the Indian Air Force about the capabilities of the aircraft. We have also started doing this work on a small scale. It may be discussed at the Arrow India show next week.
