Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Greta Thunberg for tweeting about the farmers’ movement. According to the information, Delhi Police has registered a case under sections 153A and 120B for making inflammatory tweets. With this, Delhi Police has made it clear that there is no name in the FIR.

Giving more information in this regard, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police Praveer Ranjan said that the farmers’ movement is going on at all the three borders of Delhi. The Delhi Police is monitoring social media, about 300 social media handles have been found, which are being used to spread hateful and malicious content. He said that they are being used by some Western interest organizations. Those who are campaigning wrongly against the Indian government in the name of the peasant movement. There is no name in our FIR, it is only against the creators of the toolkit, which is the subject of investigation. Delhi Police will investigate that matter.


However, In the meantime Thanberg has made a new tweet. In her tweet after registering the FIR, she wrote that I still stand with the farmers and their peaceful protest. Even hate, intimidation or human rights violations cannot change it. He also wrote the hashtag Farmers Protest with his tweet. Significantly, for the last 70 days, the farmers of the country have been opposing the agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi. Under section 153A, an act which is against harmony between various religious, racial, linguistic or regional groups or castes or communities, and which creates or is likely to disrupt public peace. At the same time, under Section 120B, an act which is involved in any criminal conspiracy other than criminal conspiracy to commit a crime punishable as aforesaid.
