The Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, Assam was reopened on 11 October following a lockdown implemented to prevent the spread of the corona virus. The temple was closed since March. Devotees underwent a corona check at the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati to worship on the Durga Ashtami festival.
The priest of the temple said that the worship performed during the Corona period is being duly performed. However, the number of devotees attending the puja is extremely small. Hopefully everything will be alright in time to come. The temple administration has allowed the devotees to enter only after the corona examination.

However, the sanctum sanctorum of the temple is closed to devotees during this period. They will only be able to do circumambulation and worship outside the main door of the temple.
