The Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday that since January 20, we have made more than 5.5 million doses of corona virus vaccine available to our neighboring countries. The ministry said that out of these, 1.5 lakh doses of vaccine were given to Bhutan, one lakh to Maldives, Mauritius and Bahrain, 10 lakh to Nepal, 20 lakh to Bangladesh, 15 lakh to Myanmar, 50 thousand to Seychelles and five to Sri Lanka. Lacquer doses have been provided.
Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, “In the next few days we plan to provide one lakh doses of vaccine to Oman, five lakh to CARICOM countries (Caribbean community) and two to two lakh to Nicaragua and Pacific island countries.” In addition, commercial exports have been made to Brazil, Morocco and Bangladesh. It will be supplied to Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Canada, Mongolia and other countries.
