It may take more than two years to complete the new Parliament House. The construction is expected to be completed by 2022. It will be built at a cost of Rs 970 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be specially present in the Bhoomi Pujan on 10 December. The event will take place at one o’clock in the afternoon. The new Parliament building will be four storeyed and have a total built-up area of ​​approximately 64,500 square meters. He informed that the Lok Sabha Room in the building will be in the ground floor, which will have a seating capacity of 888 members.

There will be a seating arrangement of 384 members in the Rajya Sabha chamber. The chamber can seat 1,272 members during a joint meeting. The speaker informed that even after the construction of the new building, the old building will continue to be used. The two buildings will serve as a complement to each other.

Birla said that after the construction of the new building, efforts are also being made that there should not be any difference in the visibility of the original Parliament House. All the statues in the Parliament complex will also be restored with dignity and dignity.
