Israel is currently leading the world in terms of corona vaccination. Israel has vaccinated a fifth of its population in 20 days, which means that around 18 lakh people have been vaccinated so far. Israel has paid 50 per cent more price than the UK, to take advantage of the convenience of more and quicker supply of the vaccine.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Albert Borla, CEO of Corona’s vaccine-making Pfizer company, 17 times within a few days. This is so that they can get more dose of vaccine as soon as possible. The Israeli opposition leader gave this information on condition of anonymity.
He points out that Netanyahu paid a higher price for the vaccine to strengthen his declining popularity and political position. Pfizer’s vaccine for which Britain gave 30 euros (about Rs 2,700) per dose, while Israel gave 45 euros (about four thousand rupees) for it.
Israel has therefore paid double the price of the vaccine. A Pfizer spokesperson said that the price and quantity of the vaccine is based on a pre-determined promise.
In view of the increasing cases of Corona here, Japan is insisting on taking strict action. If Japan is being denied hospitalization, then the government is going to enact stringent laws in it. The government will impose criminal penalties on those who refuse to be admitted to hospital. On Friday, an official gave this information. The government is going to bring a law in this regard in the Parliament. This law will apply to dangerous infectious diseases. Under this law, no hospital in Japan will refuse to admit a patient.
