Covid vaccination campaign is going to start soon in the country after getting approval for the emergency use of two indigenous vaccines made in India. Meanwhile, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting to send the Covid vaccine as soon as possible. Brazil ranks second in the list of Corona-affected countries in the world, due to which the pressure on Brazil is increasing due to non-introduction and delay of vaccination in Brazil.
The Brazilian President’s Office has issued this letter. In a letter to Prime Minister Modi, the President of Brazil has said that I appeal to supply 20 lakh vaccine doses for immediate implementation of our National Immunization Program without any impact on the Indian immunization program.
Bolsonaro has sent this message to Prime Minister Modi at a time when the Brazilian government-run Fiocruz Biomedical Center had said a day earlier that millions of AstraZeneca dosages in Brazil might not reach before the end of this month. Fiocruz has said that he is in talks for a vaccine dose. Of this, 20 lakh doses are imported from India. Earlier, Fiocruz had appealed to allow emergency use of the AstraZeneca vaccine arriving from India.
