America’s newly-elected President Joe Biden is constantly working to build his team. In this episode, he announced additional members of the White House communications and press staff. He has named Indian-American Vedanta Patel as assistant press secretary.
Patel is currently Biden’s senior spokesman and has been a part of Biden’s election campaign. He has also served as the Director of Indian Communications.
Patel served as Nevada and Western primary-state communications director during Biden’s primary campaign during the presidential-election. Prior to this, she served on the Democratic National Committee as Western Regional Press Secretary and Communications Director of Congress Mike Honda, Communications Director of Indian-American Congresswoman Pramila Jaipal. Born in India and born in California, Patel is a graduate of the University of California-Riverside and the University of Florida.
