Militants attacked security forces with a grenade on Wednesday in Kupwara area of South Kashmir’s Kupwara district. In this, 12 local people have been injured. All have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment.
A senior police officer said that the attack was carried out by the terrorists targeting a joint team of police and CRPF but they failed to attack their target and Grenet exploded on the road. The terrorists fled after the attack.
Security forces have laid siege to the entire area and conducted a search operation against the terrorists.
