Money is being spent for the Prime Minister and the President in Pakistan, which is struggling in a turbulent situation. The federal cabinet here on Tuesday approved the purchase of 33 bulletproof cars for the Prime Minister’s Office and Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Significantly, before coming to power, Imran Khan and his party had talked about cutting various expenses to strengthen the national exchequer. Imran had said that he would keep only two assistants. At the same time, the Prime Minister-President will also cut the expenses.
However, he has also taken many steps in this direction. Under this, he has drastically reduced the number of employees posted at the Prime Minister’s residence. Apart from this, he also auctioned eight buffaloes kept at the Prime Minister’s residence. These buffaloes were purchased during the tenure of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to meet the milk requirement for the Prime Minister’s residence. According to a report, Imran Khan reduced the Prime Minister’s house expenses by 68 percent.
In spite of all this, the opposition in Pakistan has begun to surround Imran Khan and his party with many decisions, including the approval of new bulletproof vehicles.
