Mumbai attack (26/11) mastermind Hafiz Saeed has been sentenced to 10 years by a Pakistani court. The court sentenced Hafiz Saeed in two cases related to terror funding. Zafar Iqbal, Abdul Rahman Makki and Yahya Mujahid are also heard along with Hafiz Saeed.
A Lahore-based anti-terrorism court on Thursday sentenced four of its leaders, including Jamaat-ud Dawah’s mastermind Hafiz Saeed, in two more cases, an official of the court sentencing Hafiz said. Let us tell that Hafiz Saeed has been declared a global terrorist by the United Nations.
Please tell that Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed has been sentenced for the fourth time this year. Saeed is currently serving a sentence in Lahore for another terrorist financing case. Saeed is facing 29 cases related to terrorist financing, money laundering and illegal land grab.
The court has also sentenced Hafiz Saeed to confiscate his property and also imposed a fine of Rs 1.1 lakh. Saeed and his two accomplices, Zafar Iqbal and Yahiya Mujahid, have been sentenced to 10–10 years imprisonment, while his brother-in-law Abdul Rahman Makki has been sentenced to six months imprisonment.
Hafiz Saeed was arrested on July 17 last year in terrorist financing cases. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison in February this year in two related cases. He is currently lodged in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. Let us know that America has placed a reward of ten million dollars on Saeed’s head.
