According to the Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association (TAIPA), telecommunication service was disrupted in an area of more than 12000 square kilometers in most districts of Punjab due to the connection of towers. Hundreds of farmers of the Bharatiya Kisan Union gathered at Lamma Pind Road in Jalandhar to cut the power of four Jio towers.
