Pakistan’s Planning Minister and head of the Corona Anti-Virus Unit in the country have been infected with Covid-19. Omar is heading the ‘National Command and Operation Center’, under which a national campaign is being launched against the corona virus epidemic. His name has also been added to the list of leaders infected with Corona virus in Pakistan.
Prominent people who have been infected so far include Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Kaiser, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Meanwhile, the total number of infected people in the country increased to 4,54,673 with 3,179 new cases of infection reported in Pakistan on Saturday. At the same time, the total death toll has increased to 9,250 with the death of 87 more infected patients. The condition of at least 2,486 patients is critical.
