Even after star player Kylen Mbappé left the field due to a serious injury to his ankle, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defeated Saint-entienne 1-0 in the French Cup final to clinch the record for the 13th time.
Neymar scored the goal for PSG in the 14th minute of the match. Mbappé’s kick was saved by goalkeeper Jesse Moulin, but Neymar converted it into a goal as the ball hit his hand.
Mbappé’s injury was so severe that he had to resort to crutches to go off the field. He suffered this injury in the 30th minute of the match by Saint-Etienne player Loich Perrin. Perrin was then shown the red card and his team had to play matches with 10 players.
