Passengers flying by plane to Janakpur in Nepal were surprised when they reached Pokhara and the place was 255 km from their destination. This information came from a news in the media on Sunday.
According to the news of ‘The Kathmandu Post’, the incident occurred on Friday with 69 passengers traveling by Buddha Air. According to ‘The Kathmandu Post’ news, the weather on Friday was not very favorable for the flight. Therefore, airline companies were using every possible opportunity to board and fly passengers as quickly as possible.
According to the news, Buddha Air flight U4505 got permission to fly to Janakpur Airport. Passengers were boarded and the aircraft took off and the estimated time of its arrival at Janakpur was at 3.15 pm. The flight was already delayed. But, when the plane landed, it was Pokhara Airport instead of its actual destination airport.
According to preliminary reports, flights to Pokhara were allowed till 3 pm due to weather-related reasons. An airline company official said, “Bad weather had already caused flight delays and Buddha Air officials decided to leave for Pokhara first.”
Because of this, flight numbers were changed and this led to a mess. According to the news, Buddha Air has admitted serious flaws. Its managing director Birendra Bahadur Basnet said that he has formed a committee to investigate the incident.
