The Ministry of Health also informed that 11,016 Corona patients were discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. This brings the corona recovery rate to 1,06,11,731. The ministry said, “India’s Kovid-19 recovery rate is 97.31 percent, which is the highest in the world. The gap between corona recovered and active cases has gone up to 1,04,74,164”.

So far, the number of healthcare and frontline employees in the country against Kovid-19 is more than 82 lakhs. As per the last report received till 8 am on Sunday, a total of 82,63,858 beneficiaries have been vaccinated through 1,72,852 sessions. These include 59,84,018 health workers (first dose), 23,628 health workers (second dose) and 22,56,212 frontline personnel (first dose).

The second dose of corona vaccination is being given from Saturday to beneficiaries who have completed 28 days of receipt of the first dose. The ministry said that a total of 2,96,211 beneficiaries have been vaccinated till the 29th day of the vaccination campaign started from 13 February. Of this, 2,72,583 beneficiaries were vaccinated in 8,071 sessions for the first dose and 23,628 HCWs received the second dose of the vaccine.

“The country is seeing an increase in day-to-day immunization,” the ministry said, adding that 68.55 percent of the total vaccinated beneficiaries belong to 10 states. It said that 81.58 per cent of the cases recovered from Corona are concentrated in six states.

Kerala has reported a maximum number of single-day recoveries with 5,835 new cases recovered from Corona. At the same time, a total of 1,773 people in Maharashtra recovered from the virus in a span of 24 hours. In addition, 482 people in Tamil Nadu recovered.

India’s current active cases of 1.37 lakh are now only 1.26 percent of the infection spread in India. The highest daily new cases in Kerala are 5,471. This is followed by 3,611 in Maharashtra, while 477 in Tamil Nadu. The percentage of new deaths in these states is 78.3. Maharashtra had the highest number of 38 deaths. At the same time, there were 16 daily deaths in Kerala. Five new death cases have been registered in Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh.
