The survey of the proposed 71.49 km road to the China border under the Bharat Mala Project has been completed. With the construction of the road, the army will have easy access to the China border bordering Pithoragarh district.

After the survey, the team of Central Public Works Department (CPWD), ITBP and Forest Department has gone to Joshimath in Chamoli district. Some part of the road is also falling in Chamoli district. The team will soon submit the survey report to the high officials, which the officials will send to the central government.

Forest Ranger Puran Singh Deupa from Joshimath told in a phone conversation that Tophidunga is located at an altitude of about 4500 meters on this motorway. This will be the highest road to be built at this place. This strategically constructed road will be built under the supervision of ITBP.

Under the Bharat Mala Project, 71.49 km of road is proposed through the high Himalayan region of Milam, Sumna, Lapathal, Topidhunga in Mallahari area of ​​Munsiyari. This road will be parallel to the China border.
