The central government is providing contractual jobs to its retired workers. During the Corona period, officers and personnel retired from various ministries and departments have been given jobs on contract basis. Contract positions include many technical positions ranging from directors, consultants and personal assistants.
Now such questions are being asked from the ministries as to how much remuneration should be given to the person who will be given the job on contract basis. Whether or not other allowances will be received, the Finance Department’s expenditure department has now disclosed all those rules. On this basis, salary and allowances of contract workers will be fixed.
Such workers will be able to work for 65 years. Like government employees, they will not get all the allowances, but if they are sent out of office work then they will get TA-DA. The DoPT has informed that a committee of secretaries has been constituted in this regard. She is preparing a draft in this regard.
According to the Department of Expenditure, the salary of retired workers who are on contractual appointments will not in any case be more than the last salary taken by them. The special thing is that this addition includes both his pension and new salary. Contract personnel will receive a monthly salary. There will be no annual increment. The contract period will be one year. Whether a former worker or an officer is appointed a consultant, he will also get the same salary.
Suppose a worker received a salary of Rs 155900.00 on retirement. His basic pension increased to Rs 77950.00 Now he will get fixed remuneration of Rs 77950.00 in the contracted job. The duration of the job will be one year and during this period no increment or DA will be available. House rent allowance will also not be given. You will be able to take one and half day leave in a month.
An additional extension of one year may be given in service tenure if the work is good. This period shall not extend beyond five years after retirement. Until the final draft of the DoPT is prepared, the central government can change the rules of appointment.
