The crises of Pakistan struggling with economic crisis are now in front of the whole world. It has been under debt from various countries including China, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. Now borrowers are also demanding their money back. Meanwhile, the Imran government of the pauper Pakistan will now take a loan of 500 billion rupees by mortgaging the largest park in the capital Islamabad. This information came from Pakistani media report.
According to Pakistani media reports, this proposal to mortgage the park will be put up in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. The F-9 Park is identified as Fatima Jinnah, the ‘Mother-in-Millat’ (Mother of Nation) sister of Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah. The park is spread over 759 acres. It is one of the largest green areas in Pakistan.
According to the report, the meeting to pledge ‘Fatima Jinnah Park’ will be done via video link, which will be organized by Imran Khan’s office. This proposal will be discussed on Tuesday. The report said that the Imran Khan government would pledge the assets of the federal government to the F-9 Park because of financial clout. This will give him a loan of 500 billion rupees.
The Capital Development Authority of Islamabad has already obtained a No Objection Certificate in this regard. Even before this, many governments of Pakistan have mortgaged various institutions and buildings, but this time the Imran government is going to mortgage the park named after the sister of Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, after running the government for two and a half years, is blaming the previous governments for the bad economic conditions of the country. The situation has reached such a point in Pakistan that even the Imran Khan government has to be manipulated to pay salaries to government employees. Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Pakistan’s largest ‘donors’, are seeking back their multibillion-dollar debt. At the same time, Pakistan’s evergreen friend China is also reluctant to give loans to Pakistan.
The friendly chemistry that was seen between Pakistan and Malaysia in the last few years has started to crack due to the poverty of Pakistan. Following an order from the local court of Malaysia, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft with passengers was detained at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Malaysia accused the PIA of not providing the remaining funds. The aircraft was halted due to an aircraft lease issue. However, the aircraft was later confiscated and the passengers were released.
