The ICC released the latest T20 international rankings on Wednesday. In the latest rankings batting list, Team India wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul retained his second position while captain Virat Kohli gained one place to be in sixth place. Rahul is behind England’s David Malan (915) by 816 points, who have retained their top position, while Kohli has 697 points.
In fact, there has been a considerable change in the rankings of players from New Zealand and Australia after the first two matches of the ongoing series between the two countries. Pakistan captain Babar Azam (801) moved up one place to third, while Australia’s white ball captain Aaron Finch (788) slipped to fourth. South Africa’s Van der Dussen (700) also moved up one place to fifth on the list.
At the same time, New Zealand’s Devon Conway scored an unbeaten 99 in the opening match, making it 46 places to 17th after just eight matches, while opener Martin Guptill moved up three places to 11th position with a 97-run knock. Arrived at Australia’s Marcus Stoinis is ranked 110th, up by 77 places, and Matthew Wade at 118th.
