More than 10.63 crore people have been infected by corona worldwide and more than 23.18 lakh people (according to statistics worldometer, till 6 am on February 7) have died. At the same time, 2,75,16,771 people have been infected and 4,73,483 people have died in America, the most affected country in the world till 6 am on Sunday (February 7).
Meanwhile, it has been a year since the first death of Corona in America and during this one year more than 4.5 lakh people have lost their loved ones forever. The first death from Corona virus in the US occurred on February 6. When 57-year-old Patricia Dowd of Northern California was made her first victim by Corona. Patricia is said to have suffered a heart attack on February 6 and died suddenly. However, it was not thought then that it was a death from Covid-19. Months later, tissue samples and tests helped confirm his death, which showed that Covid-19 had caused the death. This marks the death of the first known Covid-19 in the US.
Had it been known earlier, perhaps America would have made better preparations to fight Corona where more than 4.5 lakh people have lost their lives so far. After a year and more than 4.5 million deaths, approximately 1.3 million people in the United States are receiving a vaccine dose every day and the spread of the virus is finally slowing, but the risk of more infectious variants still hovers.
