The stock market closed higher on Wednesday on the third trading day of the week due to positive global trends and improvement in domestic economic signals. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s leading index Sensex gained 0.87 percent to close at 4066.2.46, up 403.29 points. At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty gained 0.85 per cent (114.85 points) to close at the level of 13682.70.

Market experts said that Indian stock markets remain at record highs due to positive economic signals on the domestic front and positive trends in global markets. It is known that the index has recovered the entire loss in the year 2020. It closed at 41,306.02 on January 1, 2020. However according to analysts, further market volatility will continue. Hence investors should be cautious.

Talking about the big stocks, today shares of Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, ONGC and Divis Lab closed on the green mark. Shares of ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Ultratech Cement, GAIL and NTPC closed at the red mark.

If we look at the sectoral index, today all the sectors, except PSU bank, closed on the green mark. These include Finance Services, Media, Auto, Metal, Pharma, IT, Realty, FMCG, Banks and Private Banks.

Today the stock market was opened on the edge. The Sensex opened 288.89 points (0.62 per cent) above the level of 46552.06. The Nifty started with a gain of 83.50 points (0.62 per cent) at 13651.40. Both indices were at their all-time highs.

The stock market closed marginally higher on Tuesday. The Sensex was up 9.71 points to end at 46263.17, up 0.02 percent. At the same time, the Nifty closed at the level of 13567.85 with a gain of 0.07 per cent (9.70 points).
