The stock market gained strength on Friday, the last trading day of the week, on the last trading day of the week due to the rise in large stocks like Infosys, TCS and HDFC Bank. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex closed up 689.19 points at 48782.51, up 1.01 percent. On the other hand, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 14347.25, up by 209.90 points (1.48 per cent).

The market capitalization of listed companies on the BSE, the country’s major stock market, rose to an all-time high of Rs 195.21 lakh crore during early trading on Friday. After two days of decline in the market, this rise was again due to the fast trend. Last year, the Sensex had risen by 15.7 per cent, while the market saw both a sharp fall and a strong rally.

Investors are worried about investment before the Union Budget because according to most market analysts, due to Corona, this time budget will not be as expected. Hence the market continues to fluctuate.

Talking about the big stocks, today Maruti, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, UPL and Infosys shares closed on the green mark. Bharti Airtel, Hindalco, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel and GAIL shares closed at the red mark.

If we look at the sectoral index, today all the sectors, except metal and PSU bank, closed on the green mark. These include FMCG, IT, Pharma, Banks, Media, Realty, Private Banks, Finance Services and Auto.

The year 2020 was a big development for the stock markets. In March 2020, the corona virus epidemic hit India. The corona virus also did not leave the stock market untouched. The domestic market fluctuated. While the stock market went bust in March, the Sensex-Nifty recovered the entire loss in 2020 at the end of the year.

The Sensex opened 333.85 points higher at 48,427.17 in early trade and the Nifty was up 0.69 per cent at 14,234.40. After this, the trend of domestic stock market continued. At 12.57 pm, the Sensex was trading at 48,590.30, up 486.98 points (1.01 per cent). The Nifty was trading at 14,288.65, up 151.30 points (1.07 per cent). The stock market closed down on Thursday. The Sensex was down 80.74 points to settle at 48093.32, down 0.17 percent. The Nifty closed at 14137.35, a slight drop of 8.90 points (0.06 per cent).
