Three Bangladeshis were killed in a mass beating at a tea garden at Bubrighat on the Indo-Bangladesh border under Patharkandi police station in Karimganj district. This is the second such incident in Patharkandi in a month A similar incident took place in Putni Tea Garden in June A Bangladeshi cattle thief was shot dead by a gardener. Today, a similar incident took place at Bubrighat Tea Garden. The identities of the three victims have not been ascertained yet, though police have identified them as Jamkandi villagers of Jury sub-district in Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh. Bangladeshi biscuits, mosquitoes coil, cutting pliers, etc. were recovered from the victims of the massacre. It is to be noted that the violence of Bangladeshi cattle thieves on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Karimganj district has now become a natural phenomenon. People in the border areas have to go through a kind of sleepless night in such violence.
