India’s permanent representative at the United Nations, TS Tirumurthy, said on Tuesday that Pakistan is a center of terrorism. He cited the UN report that reiterated Pakistan’s involvement in foreign terrorist attacks. He said that Pakistan’s terrorists have a presence in Afghanistan who carry out terrorist attacks there.
TS Tirumurthy said that it is a well-known fact that Pakistan is the center of terrorism. Pakistan is the largest home to terrorism and listed terrorists, internationally designated terrorist entities Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Lashkar-e-Taiba, JEM and Hizbul Mujahideen and individuals.
Citing the 26th report of the UN’s Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team, the ambassador said that the UN in its report has reiterated Pakistan’s involvement in terrorist attacks abroad. In the most recent report, the Analytical Assistance and Sanctions Monitoring Team, which periodically presents its report on the terrorist activities of ISIL, al-Qaeda, found direct references to Pakistan’s involvement in it.
The permanent representative said, “This report clearly mentions that Pakistanis are led by terrorist groups. The report mentions the name of an al-Qaeda leader who is a citizen of Pakistan. It is a clear acceptance that these institutions get leadership and money from Pakistan. ‘
