Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist of the World Health Organization (WHO) has given a big statement on the lockdown. Swaminathan said the consequences of the lockdown could be terrible. According to media reports, Swaminathan said that till the vaccination of enough people, we will have to face a second wave of corona virus. On 8–12 weeks time between two doses of the World Health Organization vaccine, he said that it could be extended. However, he has not recommended the introduction of a children’s vaccine. He also emphasized the role of people in controlling the second wave of Corona infection.
Explain that the second wave of corona infection in India is at its peak. In the last 24 hours, more than 1.11 lakh corona infection patients have been exposed. In view of the increasing outbreak of Corona, strict restrictions and night curfews have been imposed in many cities. Raising the entire lockdown has been announced from April 9 to April 19 in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. 11 states are the most affected in India. Among these, infections are highest in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.
Let me tell you that last year, the Chief Scientist of WHO) Dr. Soumya Swaminathan had said that the corona infection is not going to end so soon. It may take a long time to finish. He said that it may take four to five years for this epidemic to end. However, some scientists had said on Swaminathan’s statement that this will be overcome in a short time.
